The Initiative on Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke Prevention passed an important milestone in November 2011 when it began testing interventions designed to improve the standard of care for the estimated 2.6 million Americans with Atrial fibrillation.

Welcome. The American College of Physicians (ACP) Foundation announces the launch of its new patient-centered initiative, that focuses on management of atrial fibrillation and stroke prevention.
Our approach. The approach of the ACP Foundation Initiative on Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke Prevention is to increase the rate of successful health outcomes related to management of atrial fibrillation and stroke prevention through improving patient health literacy and bridging the communication gap between clinician and patient.
Who We Are. Chosen for their experience, expertise, and passion for improving the quality of patient care, the national steering committee includes leaders in the clinical practice, patient advocacy, and medical research.
