HEALTH TiPS

HEALTH TiPS are two sided 4"x 6" sheets that contain important information that patients need to know to manage their health. HEALTH TiPS are developed at or below a fifth-grade reading level, in English and Spanish, and are designed specifically for the 90 million people who have difficulty understanding and acting on health information- nearly half of all American adults. The clinical content of HEALTH TiPS is evidence-based.

To date, over 30,000,000 sheets have been ordered by clinicians. The Foundation has been collecting physician feedback on the content and format of the HEALTH TiPS pads. Survey results have indicated a positive response from clinicians who have put the pads into practice.

In addition to the HEALTH TiPS pads, the ACP Foundation has developed electronic HEALTH TiPS (e-TiPS). The evidence-based patient information on the original HEALTH TiPS has been graphically enhanced and is available in color for downloading.
